You can use personal/real world examples; however, make sure they are relevant, something that is universally known - not obscure.

I'm preparing for my ISTQB exam. I recently downloaded the syllabus and glossary of terms and started to answer some of the questions. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find all of the answers in the glossary. Are we supposed to use real world examples to answer the questions?
